We established in Spiritual Warfare Part 2 that Satan is an angel that led a failed coup d’état against the Supreme Creator. He was expelled from his position in heaven then setup his diabolical hierarchy in earth’s atmosphere. He seeks revenge by annihilating God’s precious jewel, the human race. In this final writing, I will reveal his strategies and how we are equipped to battle his advances and come out victorious.

When you won’t succumb to Satan’s hosts like the slick mentor, or be drawn down a slippery slope by a fake friend, or crumble under a reputation assault by a pathetic gossip, he’ll pull off his sheep’s clothing and reveal the wolf-lion he really is. He’s charging fierce, ferocious and hungry! But stand your ground and assault him with the Word of God and the power of your testimony!

Expect to be challenged by the Adversary. You are going through the same process as Christ did in Matthew chapter 4. In other words as you enter your wilderness of fasting and prayer, you will be tempted. If you recall the wilderness journey of the children of Israel it was a place where their loyalty and faith were tested. You are laying yourselves on God’s spiritual altar and asking Him to magnify the ways that are not like Him. God allows the temptations of the Adversary to cause our “uglies” to come to the surface. In this state of consecration those things you were not under conviction about you are now under conviction because you are seeing them through the light of the Spirit of God. You now have to fortify those areas of your lives that have been exposed as weaknesses.

The Art of War

Sun-Tzu, a Chinese military strategist, derived principles of war over 2,500 years ago that still ring true today. His war strategies were compiled into a book called The Art of War.

The Art of War moved humankind from barbaric charges in battle to well planned maneuvers precisely executed. Sun-Tzu’s five-point premise for victory is, (1) the Commander must have characteristics that soldiers respect, (2) the soldiers must be committed to the Commander and the cause at risk of life, (3) every soldier, battalion, and officer are trained to carry out distinct responsibilities that are mutually supportive, (4) all aspects of the military operation are well managed and, (5) rules of engagement based on distance, terrain, climate and composition of the enemy are in place. These principles are not exclusive to formal military campaigns but are useful in setting strategy to achieve your Promise.
