When Impossible Situations Call for Incredible Answers

Many times we make our requests to our Father and we imagine God answering in a certain way. We have these notions of how the answer would dramatically unfold leaving mouths gapping and faces aglow from His Glory. Well, we do have one thing right, God does answer but it may not come in the manner we suppose. The answer may be straightforward or may come in disguise or in some obscure way but very seldom in the way we imagined.

The point is,

Presume nothing
Take no offense with the messenger
Take no offense with the method

Just watch for it, listen, and be courageous enough to follow the instructions.

Loving the Children

As grandmother I love to spoil my grandchildren. They are really blessed. As a nurturer my love goes beyond the borders of my home and even my country. As well as contributing to non-profits for critically ill children domestically, I have taken on sponsoring two children outside of my country. They are Elagbe, a 9-year old boy and Ishimwe, an 8 -year old girl. I have been their sponsor through Compassion International now for three years and it’s been a joyous three years. Through translation we exchange letters and pictures. I’m writing because I see so many more I would love to sponsor in Brazil, Guatemala, Philippines and Rwanda to name a few of the countries in need of sponsors.

Last week I addressed your trinity:

Body – Soul – Spirit

You consist of all three components at birth. When you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, then God fills you with the Holy Spirit. You are then under contract to transform the carnal state of your body, soul and spirit into His temple, the house where God dwells on Earth.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Amplified Bible

¹⁹Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?

²⁰You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

When you go to church, you are not going to meet God there, you are bringing Him there as active participant in acts of worship.

It’s time to shake the dust of 2021 off and look with expectation to 2022. The first fruits of 2022 will be a statement of our faith in and devotion to God who will allow us to thrive in the midst of calamity. So, for 21 days we are presenting our bodies, minds and souls in personal sacrifice to the Lord. Upon doing so the Lord will hear our cry and answer our petitions during this 21-Days of Prayer and Fasting.
