My Going Out and My Coming In
A Prayer
LORD, I thank you for everything you have done for me. The ups and the downs. I have come through them all. In spite of it all and because of it all, I am whole, a recipient of your mercy. For that I thank You.
LORD I’m leaving 2019 and all that it held for me. The memories of loved ones lost; years of love invested. The emptiness of their absence is still with me. But You have also added. The cry of a fresh, new baby and the joy of wedded bliss each bait fresh memories to create and experience in the coming year.
Tough decisions were made with more to come. Charting the course of my life with all I will take in and all that I will leave adrift. The only hope, the best assurance I have for a safe journey lies in how much I allow You to guide me. I know what that means. That means I must lose my defenses making myself vulnerable to the whims of those that have little understanding of who You are. When I give that more thought LORD, I must admit I have always fared much better, my landing sure, when I’ve left myself to Your defense and not my own.
So, I leave 2019 in the past. I take only its lessons with me as fodder for the New Year. I pray that I leave this year with peace in heart and mind. Even if it’s knowing that there will be tough decisions in 2020. Let me not wrestle too long with indecision; my fleshly nature struggling against my spiritual, making for a troubled mind. I pray for wisdom to distinguish between the two. Rather, let me cling to God-led decisions which when all is said and done lead to peace.
This I pray in Your Son’s name, Jesus, my Savior, Amen.
Family and friends, I pray every decision you make ends in peace. Realizing the journey to peace may very well be fraught with turmoil. Turmoil may be unavoidable but know that there is always an exit. There are actually two exits. Your exit and God’s exit. Choose right and the peace of God will be yours.
Thank you for journeying with me in my blog this year. I’m excited about new heights in the New Year and what words God will place in my spirit for you and I.

Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to determine if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.
From time to time people have had difficulty. Many resolved their loading problems by using a different browser. I hope that works for you.
