Loving the Children
As grandmother I love to spoil my grandchildren. They are really blessed. As a nurturer my love goes beyond the borders of my home and even my country. As well as contributing to non-profits for critically ill children domestically, I have taken on sponsoring two children outside of my country. They are Elagbe, a 9-year old boy and Ishimwe, an 8 -year old girl. I have been their sponsor through Compassion International now for three years and it’s been a joyous three years. Through translation we exchange letters and pictures. I’m writing because I see so many more I would love to sponsor in Brazil, Guatemala, Philippines and Rwanda to name a few of the countries in need of sponsors.
Compassion International
Compassion International is a reputable non-profit that’s been in operation since 1952. Eighty-three percent (83%) of the contribution goes to the sponsored child, the rest goes to administration costs. They provide Christian education, food, clothing, medicine, disaster relief and much more. They enroll children from infancy to 22 years of age depending on the country.
